February 28 - 29, 2004: After being rained out the previous weekend, the 2004 NHRA K&N Filters Winternationals Drag Races at the Fairplex in Pomona rocked! There was lots of great high speed racing (Tony Schumacher won the Top Fuel race in 4.4 seconds at 331mph), Randy Balough debuting his new Uncle Joe's 1963 Corvette Super-Gas Drag Racer, and a couple of wild Uncle Joe's Meet & Greet sessions with the Vette and the Jim Sleeper-prepared Uncle Joe's Nissan 300ZX on display. J.B. even joined legendary NHRA announcer Mike English in the booth to call one of the final Super Gas sessions. Rock & Roll! (Photos by Bill McDermott and Jim Sleeper.)
